We are committed to help increase survival rates from Cardiac Arrest, one of the leading causes of death in the United States. The average survival rate of a person experiencing an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is less than five percent (5%). An automated external defibrillator (AED), approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration, “is capable of recognizing cardiac arrest that will respond to defibrillation, ventricular fibrillation or rapid ventricular tachycardia, and is capable of determining whether defibrillation should be performed; and upon determining that defibrillation should be performed, automatically charges and is capable of delivering an electrical impulse to an individual’s heart.” AED's are most successful when their first (1st) shock is delivered within three (3) to four (4) minutes of sudden cardiac arrest onset.
